WW: {On top of old Smoky...}

Okay, I know it's a bit late in the day for a Wordless Wednesday post...*cough*cough...okay, evening now. Better late than never, right? I just had to share a quick post on some of the gorgeous views on our vacation last week. My dad has a cabin in the Great Smoky Mountains in North Carolina.
Gosh, is it a gorgeous view everywhere you turn!
Let me share it with you...

Week/Weekend recap

The past 5 days have been busy but filled with great times...

Payton's best bud, Korben had a farewell party at Pump it Up. These two kiddos have been best buds for almost five years now. Korben is moving to California. His daddy is in the Navy. We will miss them dearly but hope to find fun and creative ways to keep in touch.

Two peas in a pod.

I spy a 13 year old in an itty bitty school bus, do you?

Two of Korben's favorite ladies; his mama and little sis.

Next up was Payton's Reading Celebration at Metro Park.
She read over 100 books this school year.

Payton loves Martha on Martha Speaks.

Sunday we spent the day on the boat for my dads birthday.

Yes, we are a silly bunch!

Birthday boy trying to put on a 'mean' face for the camera.

Ha! He couldn't hold it.

Lunch and Yappy hour at the Jacksonville Landing downtown. Yes, that is Yappy, not Happy.

Hey babe...love your hot pink dress. What do you think of my new kicks?

Loved watching all the fabulous pups for the Yappy Hour.
Now back to the birthday boys lunch.

These Corona-ritas were absolutely delicious. What a great way to end the weekend!

What did you do this weekend?

Decking the Halls...

Merry Christmas from the Barrett family!

Hope you all are enjoying the holiday festivities. I know we are! Our house is filled with the aroma of yummy baked goods, Christmas tunes on the radio and laughter of happy children in the background. The tree is up and the stockings are hung with care just waiting on good ol' Saint Nicholas to be here.

*These top two pictures were taken with Chuck's iPhone so the quality is not that great.

Dylan being such a big helper!

Um, yes we claim him!

Here is a peek at what Sammy our Elf on a Shelf has been up too...

What if Christmas, he thought, doesn't come from a store. What if Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more.
